Our Physicians
Tamara Harper, MD

Dr. Harper is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She graduated from Xavier University - University of South Alabama Pediatrics, with a BS in Chemistry. She did an internship at the University of South Alabama Pediatrics and she held a Medical Doctorate residency at USA College of Medicine.
Dr. Harper is a lifelong resident of the coast, and continues her career at The Pediatric Center after five years of service at USA Women's and Children's Hospital in Mobile, Alabama.
Her special interests include the treatment of Asthma and Sickle Cell Disease. Dr. Harper is married to Dr. Oswago Harper.
Dr. Harper is on the medical staff at Garden Park Medical Center, and Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.
Wendy Goodman, MD

Dr. Goodman is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She graduated from the University of South Alabama with a BS in Biomedical Science. She held an internship at the University of South Alabama Pediatrics, and her Medical Doctorate residency was held at the USA College of Medicine.
Dr. Goodman is a lifelong resident of the coast, and has been caring for children at The Pediatric Center since 2004.
Her interests include breast-feeding support and she enjoys the ability to practice medicine in the community in which she was raised. Dr. Goodman has two children.
Dr. Goodman is on the medical staff at Garden Park Medical Center, and Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.
Appointments
The Pediatric Center is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Same day appointments and walk-in's are welcome. However, if you would like to tour our facility and meet the doctors and staff, give us a call and make an appointment free of charge. You may also request an appointment using our convenient on-line appointment request form.

Tulane Children's Hospital
We also offer specialized services in endocrinology, pulmonology, gastroenterology and nephrology by pediatric physicians from Tulane Children's Hospital. Appointments are necessary. Our pediatricians are supported by a friendly, professional staff that make even the most traumatic circumstances seem effortless.
After Hours Care
We know that accidents and ailments don't always occur during "business hours", so we have physicians on call after hours. The Pediatric Center's staff will be there when you need them most. In the event of an emergency, go directly to your nearest emergency room.
Prescriptions
If you need a prescription refilled for a recurring illness, simply call The Pediatric Center during office hours. Your pediatrician will review your medical information and handle your request in the most convenient manner possible.
Billing & Insurance Information
The Pediatric Center is a provider on most employee health care plans; check your specific plan to be sure. In some instances, preferred physicians may be added. We'll be glad to handle all of your insurance filing. Remember, even if you have insurance, you are still responsible for the payment on your account. Should you have a balance due, cash, personal checks, Visa or MasterCard are all accepted. If necessary, we can arrange a payment plan suitable for your needs.
